Our Story
MinPop — short for Mindanao Pop — is a collective term that refers to pop music created by Mindanaoans.
MinPop was born out of a growing community of singers, musicians, songwriters, arrangers, and producers who either come from or reside in the various regions of Mindanao. As original Filipino music is beginning to gain traction in the global stage, more Mindanaoans desire to take part in this movement.

Our mission is to position Mindanao as a powerhouse and a fertile ground for pop music generation. We are dedicated to unearthing and nurturing the musical talents of Mindanao, providing them with a platform to express their artistry, and helping them to reach audiences far beyond our shores. Through the MinPop Music Festival, we aim to create opportunities for Mindanaoan songwriters and musicians to shine, fostering an environment where their music can flourish and pave the way for a new wave of global hits originating from our beloved Mindanao.
